ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. What that means in English is a "good" feeling you get in your head and/or neck when you concentrate on certain sounds, movements, activities. You may have experienced it when intently watching someone teach you something, or during a hair cut, dentist appointment, massage, etc. A similar experience is when you feel a rush of excitement/euphoria while listening to certain music. This separate, but related, experience is called Frisson.
To begin the blog, we will start off with my favorite video from the defacto queen of ASMR Gentlewhispering. Prepare to be relaxed by Maria's calming voice. Don't worry, the tingles are normal.
